# Installation & opening

## Installation

*Keystone 2* is an **extension (.zxp) and not a script (.jsx / .jsxbin).**

It cannot be installed in *ScriptsUI Panels* folder like most tools for After Effects.\
Please follow the instructions below.

### aescripts + aeplugins manager app (recommended)

The easiest and recommended way for installing *Keystone 2* is to use [**aescripts + aeplugins manager app**](https://aescripts.com/learn/aescripts-aeplugins-manager-app/).\
\
This software allows to automatically install and keep up to date all your *aescripts* tools, including *Keystone 2,* without having to download them manually.

### ZXP installer (manual installation)

This method is not recommended as you will have to download and install the files manually for each new version of *Keystone 2*.

1. Download *Keystone* 2 from [**My Downloads & Licenses**](https://aescripts.com/downloadable/customer/products/) in your aescripts account.
2. Unzip the zxp file.
3. Use [**ZXP Installer**](https://aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer/) to install the zxp file.

## Opening

1. After installing *Keystone 2*, restart *After Effects.*
2. In *After Effects*, go to the ***Window*** menu.
3. Open ***Extensions*** menu.
4. Click on ***Keystone 2**.*
